Tallahassee, FL – Florida residents should prepare for a hotter end to the week as temperatures rise and rain chances increase.

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee forecasts above-normal heat through the weekend, with temperatures climbing higher next week. On Wednesday, Tallahassee expects a high of 93°F. Thursday and Friday will bring slightly cooler conditions, with highs in the upper 80s.

Rain chances peak on Thursday and Friday. Cross City and DeFuniak Springs could see up to 65% chance of rain. Tallahassee will have a 35% chance on Thursday, rising to 45% on Friday. The rain continues through the weekend, potentially cooling things down slightly.

As the weekend progresses, expect temperatures to rise steadily. On Sunday, Tallahassee should reach 93°F, and by Tuesday, temperatures could peak at 94°F. Other areas in North Florida, such as Valdosta and Perry, might see temperatures nearing the upper 90s.

The National Weather Service advises Floridians to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during peak heat. Fortunately, there’s no immediate threat from tropical systems through the end of August, but residents should stay updated as weather conditions can change quickly.
