Tampa, FL – Florida’s spring heat is intensifying across Tampa, with dry, sunny conditions pushing daytime highs steadily toward 90°F by the weekend. Residents should prepare for elevated temperatures beginning Wednesday and persisting into Saturday—just as outdoor activities pick up ahead of the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will bring sunny skies and a high of 84°F with light north winds around 7 mph. Thursday’s temperatures will surge again to 88°F under continued sun and minimal breeze. By Friday and Saturday, Tampa is expected to reach peak spring heat at 90°F and 91°F, respectively.

Officials urge caution during midday hours, especially for those traveling or working outdoors. The dry spell means hydration and sun protection are critical. No rainfall is expected during this stretch, increasing the risk of brush fires in dry grassy areas along major corridors like I-275 and U.S. 92.

Evening temperatures will cool slightly but remain mild, ranging between 58°F and 67°F overnight, offering some relief from the day’s heat. Winds will remain light throughout the week, ranging between 5–8 mph from the northeast and east.
