Tampa, FL – Florida residents should brace for another day of intense heat as temperatures are expected to soar into the low to mid-90s across much of the state on Sunday. According to the National Weather Service in Tampa Bay, slightly drier air will accompany the heat, leading to limited rain chances throughout the region.

Highs are forecasted to reach 94°F in Chiefland and Arcadia, with Tampa, Sarasota, and Crystal River seeing temperatures around 92-93°F. The scorching conditions extend down to Fort Myers, where residents can expect a high of 92°F.

Rain chances remain low, with only a 10% chance of showers for most of the region. The best chances for rain are in Chiefland and Fort Myers, where there is a 30% chance of isolated showers. However, the overall dry conditions suggest that most areas will remain rain-free, allowing the heat to build throughout the day.
