Tampa, FL – A storm system moving across Florida will bring strong thunderstorms, gusty winds, and hazardous marine conditions through Monday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Tampa Bay.

The storm is expected to begin with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms on Sunday, followed by more widespread showers and storms overnight into Monday. Breezy conditions will persist, with winds strengthening as the system moves through. By Monday afternoon, thunderstorms will gradually dissipate from north to south, leaving behind cooler temperatures and improving conditions by Tuesday.

The NWS warns of rip currents along the Gulf Coast, making beach and marine activities potentially dangerous. Winds will gradually weaken by early Tuesday, improving beach conditions.

Residents are advised to stay weather-aware, secure loose outdoor items, and exercise caution near coastal areas. Boaters should monitor conditions closely due to rough seas and strong currents.
