Tampa Bay, Florida –

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will redevelop over coastal waters late tonight, pushing toward land and affecting the Tampa Bay region, according to the National Weather Service. The rain is expected to be most intense along the coast, moving inland into the early morning hours.

According to the NWS, the system will produce winds from the southeast at around 5 MPH, while temperatures will remain mild, with lows ranging from the upper 60s in northern areas to the lower 70s in central and southern Florida.

Residents along the coast should prepare for the potential of heavy rainfall and isolated thunderstorms overnight. These weather conditions could briefly disrupt travel and outdoor plans. Areas along U.S. 19 and I-75 could see localized downpours.

By morning, conditions are expected to clear out, with drier weather expected through the day. However, keep an eye on local advisories in case further storms develop or warnings are issued.
