Tampa, FL – Skies are gray across the Bay Area this Sunday morning as humid Gulf air collides with a weak cold front, sparking scattered showers and a few isolated thunderstorms. The National Weather Service reports a 30% chance of storms by afternoon, with locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds possible through 8 p.m.

Drivers along I-275, I-4, and the Howard Frankland Bridge should expect wet pavement and reduced visibility as storms develop through midday. Patchy fog could linger near the coast and low-lying areas, adding to travel slowdowns. Forecasters say rainfall amounts may reach between a quarter and half an inch, but brief heavier downpours could occur under stronger cells.

Temperatures will climb to near 80°F, but drier air filters in overnight as winds shift west-northwest. Monday looks mostly cloudy and mild with highs near 75°F before a more noticeable cooldown arrives Tuesday, when highs drop to the low 70s under bright, dry skies.

Looking toward midweek, a stretch of sunny, comfortable weather returns with highs in the low 70s and lows in the 50s — ideal for outdoor activities and early December holiday prep. Long-range models continue to show a nationwide cold pattern building between December 11–17, which could send cooler, drier air toward Florida by next weekend.
