ORLANDO, FL – A humid haze and patchy fog hang over Central Florida this morning, with rain chances building into Tuesday as mild December air sticks around. Drivers across the Orlando metro should prepare for slower travel early Tuesday as fog limits visibility before rain showers move through by midday.

According to the National Weather Service in Melbourne, a 50% chance of showers develops Tuesday morning, mainly after 10 a.m., with isolated thunderstorms possible. While rainfall totals will stay under an inch, heavier bursts could bring brief downpours and slick roadways along I-4, U.S. 441, and the Beachline Expressway.

Temperatures remain unseasonably warm, reaching near 81°F Tuesday afternoon before skies clear late Tuesday night. Wednesday turns mostly sunny, with highs near 71°F, offering a more comfortable midweek break.

By Thursday and Friday, expect plenty of sunshine and highs in the upper 70s, ideal for early holiday decorating or outdoor events. However, fog and scattered showers return by Saturday, signaling a damp first weekend of December.

Residents should keep headlights on in fog and allow extra time for morning commutes through low-lying areas like Kissimmee, Sanford, and Winter Garden.
