According to the NWS, scattered thunderstorms will develop today, especially over the interior and southwestern regions. Rain chances continue Friday night into Saturday, with a 30-40% chance of showers expected. Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and monitor local updates as storms may produce gusty winds and localized heavy rainfall.
By Sunday, thunderstorm activity will intensify, with the likelihood of severe storms reaching 60%. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to persist into the early part of next week, with the heaviest rain projected for Monday.
