MIAMI, Fla. — Warm and seasonably mild weather is expected to continue across much of Florida through the Valentine’s Day weekend and into late February, with temperatures remaining above average from Feb. 14 through Feb. 20.

In South Florida, including the Miami metropolitan area, daytime highs are forecast to range from the mid-70s to low 80s throughout the period. Overnight lows are expected to remain comfortable, generally settling into the upper 50s and 60s, limiting any notable cooling even during overnight hours.

Across Central Florida, including Orlando and Tampa, highs are expected to remain in the low to mid-70s, with nighttime lows in the 50s. Farther north, including Jacksonville and the Florida Panhandle, slightly cooler conditions are possible, though temperatures are still expected to remain near or above seasonal averages.

Rain chances appear limited for much of the state. While brief showers cannot be ruled out, especially along coastal areas during periods of onshore flow, no widespread or prolonged rainfall is currently anticipated. Most locations are expected to experience extended dry periods, supporting favorable conditions for outdoor activities during the holiday weekend.

Winds are forecast to remain generally light to moderate, though occasional breezy conditions may develop along the coast. No significant cold fronts are expected to push through the region during this time, allowing the warm pattern to persist.

Forecasters say the absence of strong cold air intrusions will keep Florida locked into a mild, late-winter pattern through at least the third week of February, with conditions resembling early spring across much of the state.
