Florida – Morning fog settles low across Tampa Bay, softening the skyline under a calm, muggy air mass. The stillness won’t last. Sunshine and steady warmth will dominate through Saturday, but meteorologists warn of a pattern shift by late weekend, when rain chances creep back into west-central Florida ahead of a broader early December cool-down.

The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay expects highs near 74°F Thursday and mid-70s Friday, with mostly sunny skies and light north winds. Patchy fog will remain possible near dawn each day, especially in inland areas and along I-75 and Route 41. Drivers should use low beams and plan extra time for any early travel.

By Saturday, the region warms further—temperatures in the upper 70s under bright skies—before moisture increases Sunday, bringing a 20–30% chance of showers. The system remains weak, but light rainfall could make roads slick for post-Thanksgiving travelers returning home.

Looking beyond the weekend, NOAA’s long-range outlook shows below-normal temperatures and above-normal precipitation stretching across much of the eastern U.S. between December 2–6. That means Florida could trade its current warmth for cooler, unsettled weather heading into the first week of December.

5-Day Outlook (Tampa Bay, FL)

  • Friday: Sunny, high 64°F, breezy north winds.
  • Saturday: Mostly sunny, high 76°F.
  • Sunday: 20% chance of showers, high 82°F.
  • Monday: Mostly sunny, high 81°F.
  • Tuesday: 30% chance of showers, high 79°F.
