Melbourne, FL – Central Florida residents and beachgoers can expect warm, humid conditions today with the chance for a few afternoon and early evening thunderstorms, according to the US National Weather Service in Melbourne.
Forecasters report partly cloudy skies with light to variable winds, shifting southwest at 5–10 mph inland and becoming onshore near the coast this afternoon. Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 80s, remaining above seasonal averages for early November.
While rainfall will be scattered, some storms may bring brief lightning and gusty winds. Residents are urged to monitor conditions, especially during outdoor activities later in the day.
The Weather Service also warns of a moderate risk of rip currents along the Volusia, Space, and Treasure Coast beaches, with 2–3 foot surf expected. Beach visitors should swim near lifeguards, avoid venturing out alone, and never underestimate calm-looking water conditions.
