Tallahassee, FL – A mild and mostly dry week is ahead for the Florida Panhandle and southwest Georgia, according to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, with a brief chance of light rain Sunday into early Monday before temperatures rebound later in the week.
Forecasters say a 10–30% chance of showers will linger through Monday morning as a reinforcing cold front moves through the region. Any rainfall will be light — less than a quarter inch — and not enough to ease ongoing drought conditions.
By Tuesday, a warming trend develops, with daytime highs climbing back to the mid-70s to near 80°F across much of the area, including Tallahassee, Panama City, and Dothan. Nights will remain cool in the 40s and low 50s, keeping mornings crisp and comfortable.
The remainder of the week stays dry and seasonable, with humidity beginning to rise by late week as high pressure dominates. The National Weather Service notes that no significant rain is expected through Friday, meaning drought conditions may persist or worsen across the Panhandle and Big Bend.
