Tallahassee, Florida – Springlike warmth will continue across North Florida into Saturday before a cold front sweeps through, bringing a few showers and a noticeable return to winterlike temperatures by Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, highs will remain well above normal through the end of the workweek, with many communities climbing into the mid to upper 70s and even near 80 degrees at times. Tallahassee, Bainbridge, Valdosta, Dothan, and Cross City are all expected to stay mild through Saturday afternoon, while overnight lows remain elevated in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Changes arrive Saturday afternoon and evening as a cold front moves across the region. A few showers are expected along and just behind the front, though widespread storms are not anticipated. Once the front passes, cooler and drier air will spill southward, ending the warm stretch.

By Sunday, afternoon highs will fall into the lower 60s across much of the Big Bend and southwest Georgia, with morning lows dropping into the 40s. Cooler nights continue early next week, with some inland areas dipping into the 30s by Monday morning.

Residents planning outdoor activities this weekend should be prepared for rapidly changing conditions, especially Saturday night. Forecasters advise monitoring updates as the front approaches, with cooler weather settling in to start the new week.
