Cocoa, FL – A Brevard County man is facing multiple charges after deputies linked him to a burglary and more than a dozen similar crimes across the area.
According to the Brevard County Sheriffโs Office, deputies responded on Aug. 31 to a business break-in where a window had been shattered and a cash register stolen. Investigators learned of another attempted break-in at the same location just before the burglary, but the suspect was unsuccessful.
The Sheriffโs Office said surveillance video showed a man with a face tattoo using a window punch to gain entry before stealing the register. Agents quickly identified the suspect as Patrick King, and a warrant for his arrest was issued.
During the investigation, deputies discovered 13 other burglaries with a similar method. Authorities allege King was connected to several of those cases as well. Court records also show King has prior convictions for burglary and theft.
King was booked into the Brevard County Jail on a โno bondโ warrant and faces two counts each of burglary, grand theft, criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools. Sheriff Wayne Ivey credited deputies, Agent Will Cleveland, and Judge Henderson for their roles in securing Kingโs arrest.
โThis is another example of our zero tolerance for crime in Brevard County,โ Sheriff Ivey said in a statement.
