Coral Springs, FL – A pair of house cleaners have been accused of turning cleaning appointments into criminal opportunities, leading to their arrest following a major theft investigation in Broward County.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, detectives with the Tamarac District arrested two individuals who allegedly posed as house cleaners to steal jewelry, cash and other valuables from unsuspecting clients. A search warrant executed at their Coral Springs residence uncovered hundreds of stolen items, including gold chains, luxury watches, rare coins, and collectible currency.
The investigation revealed the suspects allegedly operated under the guise of a cleaning service, targeting homes across the region. Detectives say victims were often unaware of the thefts until well after the suspects had left. Among the stolen items displayed by authorities were multiple Rolex-style watches, gold necklaces, and collectible coin sets.
BSO is urging the public to come forward if they suspect they may have been victimized in a similar fashion. Anyone with information or concerns is encouraged to contact Detective Danny Polo at 954-720-2225.
Authorities are also reminding residents to thoroughly research any individual or service being considered for in-home work. “Always verify credentials, ask for references, and be cautious before letting someone into your home,” officials said.
The case remains under investigation, and further charges may be filed as detectives continue reviewing the evidence recovered during the search.
