Miami, Florida – South Florida kicks off the workweek under another blanket of heat, with afternoon highs climbing to 90°F or higher from Miami to West Palm Beach.

According to the National Weather Service in Miami, Monday’s conditions will be sunny, dry, and well above average for mid-May. Temperatures are expected to reach 90°F in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Naples, with West Palm Beach slightly hotter at 91°F. No rain is forecast, and humidity will increase the heat index across the region.

Cities along the coast, including Sunny Isles, Boca Raton, and Hollywood, should prepare for prolonged sun exposure and warm pavement temperatures. Those spending time outdoors are urged to stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and avoid peak afternoon hours if possible.

This extended stretch of heat follows an already unusually dry May, raising concerns for elevated fire danger in inland areas. No immediate relief is expected until later in the week.

Highs in the low 90s are likely to continue through Tuesday. Residents should monitor local updates for any heat advisories if the trend intensifies.
