Miami, FL – South Florida is set to endure another sweltering day, with temperatures climbing into the 90s and heat advisories in effect for several counties. The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a heat advisory from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, urging residents to take precautions against heat-related illnesses.

According to the National Weather Service, cities including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach can expect temperatures to hover around 92°F, with areas like Immokalee reaching as high as 94°F. Rain chances vary across the region, with Immokalee and Clewiston facing a 65% chance of thunderstorms, while Miami has a lower probability at 24%.

The combination of high temperatures and humidity could push the heat index into triple digits, creating dangerous conditions for outdoor activities. The NWS advises staying hydrated, avoiding prolonged sun exposure, and checking on vulnerable populations such as the elderly and those without air conditioning.

Looking ahead, the heat is expected to persist throughout the week, with daily highs remaining in the low 90s. Isolated thunderstorms are possible later in the week, particularly on Thursday and Friday, which could offer some brief relief from the oppressive heat.
