Paisley, FL – A traffic stop in Paisley led to the arrest of a woman after deputies allegedly discovered methamphetamine and liquid THC in her possession.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a stop on Tuesday for a vehicle with an obstructed license plate. When the occupants refused a search, a K-9 was deployed and allegedly alerted to narcotics inside the vehicle.
Deputies said they located 15 grams of a crystalline substance in a passenger’s purse, along with liquid THC. The crystalline substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Authorities reported that the passenger, identified as Lolletta Pierce, was arrested. Because the amount of methamphetamine allegedly exceeded Florida’s 14-gram trafficking threshold, Pierce was charged with a first-degree felony of trafficking in methamphetamine. She also faces a third-degree felony charge of possession of a controlled substance for the liquid THC.
Pierce was booked into custody following the incident. Officials have not released information regarding bond or her first court appearance.
This case remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
