Florence, SC – The Florence County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying the owner of a vehicle possibly connected to a missing pet case near Lake City.

According to investigators, a small white mixed-breed dog named Tibby disappeared around 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2025, after wandering from her residence on McCutcheon Road. Deputies say a blue, late-model, four-door Nissan seen in the area may be linked to the incident.

According to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, the car’s owner or driver could have information critical to the investigation. Officials released surveillance photos of both the vehicle and Tibby in hopes that someone recognizes them.

Residents with information about the vehicle or Tibby’s whereabouts are urged to contact FCSO Investigators at (843) 665-2121 ext. 80166 or submit a tip via the department’s mobile app. Anonymous tips can also be made to Crime Stoppers of the Pee Dee at 1-888-CRIME-SC, with potential rewards up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Investigators say all leads are being actively followed as they work to reunite Tibby with her family.
