Little Rock, AR β Flood warnings remain in effect for portions of the White River in Arkansas, with moderate flooding forecasted in multiple counties, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
According to the NWS, flood warnings continue for the White River at Georgetown, Des Arc, and Clarendon. In Georgetown, minor flooding is occurring, with the river cresting just under 22 feet before slowly receding next week. Flood stage at this location is 21 feet.
At Des Arc, moderate flooding is ongoing, with water levels at 26.4 feet as of Friday morning. The river is expected to fall slightly over the coming days but will remain above flood stage, which is 24 feet.
Clarendon is also experiencing minor flooding, with water levels at 29 feet. The river is expected to crest at 29.5 feet by midweek. Flooding is affecting cropland and roads near Maddox Bay off Highway 146.
Officials urge residents to remain cautious, avoid flooded roads, and heed all safety warnings. The next update from the NWS is expected Saturday morning.
