Bracken, KY – Flooding continues to impact multiple counties in Kentucky and Ohio, with roads closed and low-water crossings submerged. The National Weather Service has extended a flood warning until 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025, for Bracken, Lewis, Mason, and Robertson counties in Kentucky, and Adams and Scioto counties in Ohio.
Excessive rainfall over the past few days has caused significant flooding in several areas. Local law enforcement reported ongoing issues with flooded roads, especially in Portsmouth, Maysville, Wheelersburg, and several other affected cities. Some roads remain impassable, and travelers are urged to avoid flooded areas and turn around if encountering standing water.
The flooding also affects local infrastructure, and numerous schools and businesses in the impacted regions may face disruptions. Those in the affected areas are advised to remain cautious, especially after dark when flooding is harder to recognize.
Additionally, the Little Miami River at Spring Valley is under a flood warning until Monday evening, with water levels approaching flood stage. The National Weather Service warns of continued minor flooding, with water impacting roads such as Corwin Road and Waynesville Road.
