Flemingsburg, KY – Kentucky State Police (KSP) say a Fleming County man faces multiple charges following an extensive investigation into alleged online exploitation of minors. The case began after a tip was submitted through KSP’s crime reporting website on December 14, 2025.

According to KSP Post 8 in Morehead, the complaint alleged that an adult male was having inappropriate conversations with underage females via Snapchat. Following a detailed investigation, troopers charged Joseph Slone, 19, of Flemingsburg with several offenses related to child exploitation and unlawful electronic communication.

Authorities say the charges include 41 counts of possessing or portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 18, distribution of obscene matter to minors, procuring or promoting use of a minor by electronic means, and unlawful transaction with a minor involving illegal sexual acts. One additional count involves promoting a sexual performance by a minor under 18.

KSP reports that the Fleming County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the case, which remains under active investigation by Trooper Marvin Morris. Officials remind residents that tips can be submitted anonymously through the KSP website.
