At 6:55 PM PDT, trained weather spotters reported rainfall ranging between 0.25 and 1 inch in these areas. Flash flooding is already occurring, prompting immediate safety precautions. Residents in affected areas are advised to move to higher ground without delay.
According to the National Weather Service, the flash flood zone impacts a population of 18,357, along with nine schools and one hospital. The service advises against walking or driving through flooded areas.
