Flash Flood Warning Issued for Outagamie County, Wisconsin

Green Bay, WI – The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Outagamie County, effective until 3:30 PM CDT on Friday. Residents are urged to seek higher ground immediately as rainfall between 1 to 3 inches since 11 AM has led to dangerous conditions. Richmond Street, just south of Highway 41, has reported 1 to 2 feet of flowing water.

According to the National Weather Service, heavy rainfall since this morning has resulted in significant flooding. The most affected areas include Appleton, Freedom, Greenville, and Black Creek. Residents are advised to avoid walking or driving through floodwaters, as most flood-related deaths occur in vehicles.

The flash flood warning underscores the severity of the situation. Emergency services are on high alert, ready to assist those in need. The potential exposure includes a population of 199,720 people, 63 schools, and three hospitals, indicating the extensive impact of the flood warning.
