Hartington, NE – The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for parts of northeastern Nebraska, effective until 3 p.m. CDT today. The warning includes the cities of Fordyce, Menominee, Bow Valley, Hartington, Saint Helena, and Wynot.

According to the National Weather Service, residents in the affected areas should move immediately to higher ground and avoid walking or driving through floodwaters. The local population at risk includes approximately 3,612 people, with five schools but no hospitals in the region.

The flash flood warning comes as severe weather continues to impact the Midwest, with heavy rainfall causing significant flooding concerns. Safety officials urge residents to be prepared for rapidly changing conditions and to follow any evacuation orders or advisories issued by local authorities.
