According to the National Weather Service in Flagstaff, skies will turn mostly sunny today with highs near 67°F, while southwest winds increase through the afternoon. Gusts could reach 34 mph, especially along exposed stretches of Interstate 40 and U.S. Highway 180 where crosswinds may impact high-profile vehicles.
Winds ease tonight with mostly clear skies and temperatures dropping to around 34°F across the Flagstaff metro and surrounding communities including Bellemont, Kachina Village, and Mountainaire.
Milder spring weather continues Sunday with highs reaching about 65°F under mostly sunny skies. Winds could still gust up to 22 mph at times before calming Sunday night as temperatures dip to around 20°F in colder mountain valleys.
The warming trend accelerates early next week as high pressure builds across the Southwest. Highs reach around 67°F Monday, then jump to 76°F Tuesday and near 79°F Wednesday, bringing some of the warmest conditions of the season across the Arizona high country.
Dry weather is expected to persist through the week, though afternoon breezes may return periodically across northern Arizona.
