Flagstaff, Arizona – Warm and mostly dry weather is setting up across northern Arizona this weekend, bringing favorable travel and outdoor conditions for most areas.

According to the US National Weather Service in Flagstaff, above-normal temperatures are expected Saturday and Sunday as high pressure remains in control of the region. Daytime highs will climb well above seasonal averages across lower elevations, while higher terrain stays mild for early February standards.

Forecasters note that the vast majority of northern Arizona will remain dry, with only a few light sprinkles possible over the White Mountains Saturday afternoon. Any precipitation that does occur is expected to be brief and light, with no flooding or travel impacts anticipated.

Motorists traveling along Interstate 40, Interstate 17, U.S. Route 60, and State Route 260 can expect generally good driving conditions throughout the weekend. Roads across Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties are forecast to remain dry, and no winter weather hazards are expected.

Saturday will bring mild highs across much of the region, followed by similar or slightly warmer temperatures on Sunday. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny, allowing for comfortable daytime conditions, especially for outdoor recreation and travel.

The National Weather Service emphasized that while a few showers may brush the White Mountains, rainfall amounts will be minimal and no storm-related preparations are necessary. Winds are expected to remain light, further supporting calm conditions.

This weather pattern may be especially favorable for commuters, students, hikers, and weekend travelers, as the lack of significant weather hazards reduces the risk of delays or closures.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to enjoy the warm, dry stretch while continuing to monitor official forecasts for any changes as the next weather system approaches later next week.
