Logansport, IN – Five people were hospitalized after experiencing electric shocks while swimming in a backyard pool on Sunday afternoon.
According to Logansport police, the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. at a home on High Street. The victims included two adults and three children, the oldest of whom was 16 years old. They reported feeling sudden electric shocks while in the water.
Investigators determined that a pinched wire on one of the pool pumps caused the electrical current to enter the water. Despite the severity of the situation, no foul play is suspected, and all five individuals are expected to recover.
