Seattle, WA – Washington could see its first snow of the season before Thanksgiving, as colder air from Canada meets Pacific moisture across the Pacific Northwest, according to the NOAA Climate Prediction Center (CPC).
The October 24, 2025 outlook shows mild and wet conditions early this month, but colder air expected between November 12–21 could bring flurries or light snow to Spokane and Yakima, while Seattle sees chilly rain and possible mixed precipitation in outlying suburbs.
Forecasters say the Cascades and eastern Washington stand the best chance for accumulation — generally 1 to 3 inches in lower valleys and more than 6 inches at higher passes such as Snoqualmie and Stevens.
NOAA notes that this system won’t be a major snowstorm, but it will likely mark the state’s transition into winter, with more widespread mountain snow expected into December.
