Bend, OR – Oregon could see its first snow of the season before Thanksgiving, as colder Pacific air meets mountain moisture across the Cascades and central valleys, according to the NOAA Climate Prediction Center (CPC).

The October 24, 2025 outlook shows mild and wet weather early in November, but by November 12–21, a cooler and more active pattern may develop, bringing light snow to Bend and the Cascade passes, with Portland and Eugene expected to stay mostly rain and frost.

Forecasters say elevations above 3,000 feet could see 2–6 inches of accumulation, potentially impacting Santiam and Willamette Pass during early holiday travel.

NOAA notes that this won’t be a major storm, but it likely marks the start of Oregon’s winter weather pattern, setting up colder and wetter conditions heading into December.
