Concord, NH – The first snowfall of the season could arrive in parts of New Hampshire before Thanksgiving, as colder air from Canada drops into New England later this month.

According to the NOAA Climate Prediction Center (CPC) forecast issued October 24, 2025, much of the state will stay warmer than average through the first half of November, keeping the early weeks snow-free. But by November 18–24, temperatures are expected to fall enough to support light snow in Concord, Manchester, and Conway, with higher totals possible in the White Mountains.

Forecasters note that this early-season system isn’t expected to bring major impacts, but slick travel is possible across northern routes and higher elevations if snow coincides with holiday travel. Southern New Hampshire may see a rain-snow mix as colder air deepens near Thanksgiving.

While it won’t be a major storm, NOAA says this could mark the official start of winter weather for the Granite State.
