Bangor, ME – After a mild start to November, Maine could see its first measurable snowfall of the season as colder air settles in closer to Thanksgiving week.
According to the NOAA Climate Prediction Center (CPC) outlook issued October 24, 2025, temperatures will stay above average through mid-month, keeping most of the state snow-free. However, models show colder Canadian air moving south after November 15, opening the door for light snow in Bangor, Augusta, and Caribou between November 18–25.
Forecasters say the northern counties have the highest odds for early accumulation, with coastal Maine staying mostly rain. Still, a brief mix or dusting could reach inland towns before Thanksgiving as colder air deepens.
For travelers, that means generally smooth conditions statewide, though a quick cold snap could turn the last few days before the holiday icy across northern and central Maine.
