The Field Museum in Chicago will host a free career panel on Wednesday, February 19, at 6:30 p.m. The event, “Cultural Curators: Black Voices in the Museum Industry’ highlights the careers of three Black museum professionals.
According to event organizers, the panel will explore the experiences of Angelica London, Latoya Flowers, and Foreman Bandama. London specializes in exhibition planning, ensuring smooth museum operations. Flowers, a Senior Multimedia Creative, collaborates with artists and designers to create immersive exhibits. Bandama, an Assistant Curator in African Anthropology, studies ceramics, metallurgy, and the history of African societies.
Attendees will gain insights into museum careers, learn about curation, and network with professionals. The event takes place at 1400 S. Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL.
