Caledonia, MN – A nationwide recall has been issued for Sno Pac Organic Cut Spinach after federal health officials warned of potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Sno Pac Foods is recalling its 10-ounce Organic Frozen Cut Spinach and 35-pound Del Mar Bulk Organic Frozen Spinach. The recalled products were distributed to retailers across the country.

The affected 10-ounce packages include lot codes SPM1.190.5 (best by July 9, 2027), SPC1.160.5 and SPC2.160.5 (best by June 9, 2027), and SPM1.097.5 (best by April 7, 2027).

While no illnesses have been reported, Listeria infections can cause serious illness, particularly in older adults, people with weakened immune systems, and pregnant individuals. Symptoms may include fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, and loss of balance.

Consumers who purchased the affected spinach are urged to throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. For more information, Sno Pac can be contacted at (507) 725-5281 or snopac@snopac.com.

According to the FDA, production of the spinach has been suspended while the company investigates the contamination source.
