Fayette, IA – An unusual accident in Fayette early Sunday morning caused thousands of dollars in damage but no reported injuries, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 7:17 a.m. on October 19, 2025, deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on West 7th Street near King Street in Fayette.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Dennis Charles Goddard, 58, of Clermont, was driving a 2014 Bobcat Toolcat 5600 ATV hauling a Porta Potty westbound when the vehicle struck an unoccupied parked car. The parked vehicle, a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu LT, belonged to Kayla Lynn Kelly, 22, of Guttenberg.

No one was injured in the incident. Authorities said the Bobcat received no damage, while the Porta Potty sustained approximately $100 in minor damage. The Chevrolet Malibu, however, sustained roughly $5,000 in damages.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said the crash remains under investigation.
