Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania State Police are renewing their call for information in a nearly decade-old homicide, offering a $5,000 cash reward for tips that help solve the fatal shooting of a 35-year-old man outside a Fayette County bar.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Troop B in Washington, investigators continue to review evidence in the October 31, 2015 killing of Billy D. James, who was shot multiple times during a large altercation at the Double Vision Bar in North Union Township, just outside Uniontown.

State police say the incident unfolded at approximately 1:50 a.m. when a large fight broke out inside the bar, located at 6 Oliver Square. Bouncers and the bar owner reportedly forced patrons outside, where the fight spilled into the parking lot. Investigators estimate 20 to 30 people were present during the altercation.

According to police, James was shot multiple times in the torso during the chaos. He was transported to Uniontown Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Despite the number of people at the scene, multiple witnesses have refused to provide details, police said, significantly slowing the investigation. No arrests have been announced, and the case remains unsolved.

The Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Investigation Assessment Unit is urging anyone with information — no matter how minor it may seem — to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Washington at 724-223-5200, call PSP Tips toll-free at 1-800-472-8477, or submit a tip online at p3tips.com. Callers may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest or resolution in the case.
