Fayette County, OH – The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious traffic crash that injured a Washington Court House man Thursday morning, October 23, 2025, in Perry Township. The crash occurred around 11:29 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 41SE and Anderson Road.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, 77-year-old Charles W. Link was driving a 2016 Freightliner semi tractor-trailer southbound on State Route 41 when he attempted a right turn onto Anderson Road. The vehicle reportedly traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
Fire crews from Washington Court House and Concord-Green Fire Departments worked to free Mr. Link, who was trapped inside the overturned truck. He was later airlifted by Med-Flight helicopter to a Columbus-area medical facility for treatment. Fayette County EMS also responded to the scene.
Authorities closed State Route 41 for several hours while emergency personnel cleared the scene. The roadway reopened at approximately 3:45 p.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
