Oelwein, IA – A 43-year-old man was taken into custody Saturday night after Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant in Oelwein with assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were joined by the Oelwein Police Department and Iowa State Patrol around 8:30 p.m. on November 20, 2025, at a residence located at 710 4th Ave NE in Oelwein.

During the operation, officers located Joshua James Levendusky, who was wanted on two valid arrest warrants. Deputies said the warrants were for a Mittimus Warrant and Failure to Appear charge.
