Fatal Traffic Crash Claims Life of Naperville Bicyclist Near Ogden Avenue

Naperville, IL — A 54-year-old bicyclist died Saturday after a collision with a Jeep Wrangler near the intersection of W. Ogden Avenue and Royal Saint George Drive.

According to Naperville police, officers responded at 10:21 a.m. and found the bicyclist, Isabel Dimas-Jimenez of Naperville, unconscious with severe head injuries. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she died from her injuries.

The involved vehicle, a 2024 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 44-year-old Wheaton woman, was traveling westbound on Ogden Avenue. The driver made a left turn onto southbound Royal Saint George Drive on a green light. The Jeep collided with Dimas-Jimenez, who was traveling eastbound in the crosswalk.

Investigators and reconstruction specialists closed the roadway until 2 p.m. The investigation is ongoing, and no citations have been issued yet.
