The crash, which occurred around 3:15 a.m., involved a light-colored Ram pickup truck and a 2004 Suzuki DRZ 400 motorcycle driven by 26-year-old Kyle St. Angelo of Saint Bernard.
According to Louisiana State Police, the Ram truck was traveling south on St. Bernard Highway when it turned onto Riverbend Drive, colliding with St. Angelo’s motorcycle. The impact ejected St. Angelo from his vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries. Authorities report that the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene without contacting law enforcement or providing aid.
Investigators describe the suspect vehicle as a newer model, light-colored Ram pickup with visible damage on the front passenger side.
