New Lenox, IL – Hundreds of residents are expected to gather this afternoon as the Village of New Lenox launches its 2025 summer farmers market season at 101 Veterans Parkway.
According to event organizers with the Village of New Lenox, the market opens today, Thursday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., marking the first of several Thursday events scheduled to run through the coming weeks. Hosted in partnership with Chicago Street Markets, the event is open to the public and aims to support local vendors while offering fresh produce and artisanal goods to the community.
This evening’s event has already drawn interest online, with more than 300 people responding and 24 confirming attendance on social media. Local officials describe the market as a seasonal staple that brings together residents and regional small businesses in a family-friendly outdoor environment.
The market is held at a central location near the New Lenox Public Library and Community Park District, providing convenient access for residents. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for the best selection of produce, baked goods, crafts, and other locally sourced products.
The farmers market will continue every Thursday through the summer months. Additional dates include May 29, June 5, and more through the season, with updates available on the Village of New Lenox’s official website and social media platforms.
For those unable to attend today, future markets will offer the same mix of local vendors, food trucks, and community engagement opportunities designed to highlight regional agriculture and small business offerings.
