Fargo, ND – A fatal motorcycle accident occurred Saturday night in Fargo, resulting in the death of one driver and injuries to another. The crash happened at 8:28 p.m. on June 29, 2024, as a male driver was operating a KTM motorcycle eastbound on 55th Ave S from 38th St S. The driver lost control of the motorcycle and struck the south curb, leading to his ejection and collision with a light pole. He was transported to Essentia Health, where he succumbed to his injuries.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle was following the 2020 KTM. The Yamaha’s driver took evasive action to avoid the first crash and overturned his motorcycle. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to Essentia Health for treatment.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol stated that these were two separate crashes, and both incidents are under investigation. Names of those involved have not been released and will be provided at a later date. The authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crashes to determine the exact causes and any contributing factors.
