Fairplay, CO – Multiple portable restrooms at the Park County Fairgrounds were deliberately set on fire Monday night, resulting in extensive damage, according to the Park County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred at 800 Bogue Street, with the fire being reported at 9:31 p.m. Authorities believe the fire started earlier in the evening.

The blaze caused significant destruction, with several portable restrooms completely destroyed. Additionally, a nearby storage container and its contents were severely damaged. The total damage is estimated to be in the range of several thousand dollars.

The Park County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident as a possible arson. They urge anyone with information about the fire to contact Detective Fowler at 719-836-4158. Authorities are hoping the public can provide leads to help identify those responsible for the fire.
