Pittsburgh, PA – Tuesday, Aug. 12 and Wednesday, Aug. 13, cooling centers will open due to projected high temperatures. Cooling centers will activate at 8 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. daily.

Five HAL senior centers, Beechview Healthy Active Living Community Center, Greenfield Healthy Active Living Community Center, Homewood Healthy Active Living Center, Sheraden Healthy Active Living Community Center, and South Side Market House Healthy Active Living Community Center, will act as community cooling centers.

Cooling centers open when temperatures are predicted to reach above 90 degrees which are projected for the next two days in Allegheny County.
