According to the US National Weather Service Denver/Boulder Colorado, mostly sunny skies will dominate today, with some clouds developing over the mountains. Isolated storms are anticipated south of I-70 in the afternoon and early evening.
The mountains and valleys will experience temperatures in the 60s to 70s, while the urban corridor and plains will see highs in the 80s. However, starting Friday, temperatures are expected to soar, reaching near-record highs. The plains could experience highs near 100 degrees, particularly along the I-25 corridor.
According to the National Weather Service, this intense heat will likely persist through Sunday, with temperatures potentially surpassing 100 degrees.
