Lisle, IL – Morton Arboretum will welcome fall with its 14th annual Glass Pumpkin Patch from October 11-13, featuring more than 7,000 unique glass pumpkins. This beloved event, set in the heart of Northern Illinois, showcases handcrafted pumpkins in vibrant colors and varied sizes.
Visitors can watch live glassblowing demonstrations starting at 10:30 a.m. daily, where artists create one-of-a-kind molten-glass works every 30 minutes until 5:00 p.m. The final demonstration wraps up at 4:30 p.m. each day.
According to the Arboretum, the event also includes a Halloween tent where guests can browse spooky glass decor perfect for the season. Shopping for glass pumpkins begins at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, following an exclusive presale hour from 10:00 a.m. for early viewers. The sale runs until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday as well.
The Glass Pumpkin Patch is free with Arboretum admission, offering visitors the chance to experience a unique blend of art, nature, and fall festivities in Northern Illinois.
