Everett, Washington – A high-speed pursuit reaching 100 mph ended in an arrest early morning, prompting a multi-agency response across Snohomish County.

According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began just after 2 a.m. when Marysville police attempted a traffic stop on a Chevy Suburban for reckless driving. The driver fled, and nearby units were alerted.

A deputy later located the vehicle in Everett, where authorities say the driver was speeding without headlights and ran multiple red lights in downtown areas. The pursuit continued onto southbound Interstate 5, where deputies established probable cause for additional charges, including attempting to elude.

Officials said the suspect briefly slowed after spike strips were deployed near 128th Street, but continued fleeing despite a deflating front tire. The chase ended in the 16100 block of Manor Way when the vehicle came to a stop.

Deputies conducted a high-risk stop, and both the driver and a passenger exited the vehicle without incident. Authorities identified the driver as a 29-year-old man with four outstanding misdemeanor warrants. He was taken into custody and booked into the Snohomish County Jail on charges including attempting to elude, reckless driving, and driving with a suspended license.

A 51-year-old female passenger, identified as the vehicle’s owner, was released at the scene.

No injuries were reported. The incident caused temporary disruptions for overnight drivers along I-5 and nearby Everett roadways.

The case remains under investigation.
