Eugene, Ore. – Residents in Eugene will see warm, sunny conditions through Saturday before the weather pattern shifts with a chance of rain arriving by Sunday afternoon. Patchy smoke from nearby fires is expected to linger today, keeping air quality a concern for outdoor activities.

According to the National Weather Service in Portland, highs will reach near 86 degrees Wednesday before settling into the upper 70s for Thursday and Friday. Winds remain light, generally from the north at 5 to 8 mph, helping keep skies clear but also limiting smoke dispersion. Overnight lows will dip into the low 50s, offering cooler nights for the region.

The Willamette Valley, including Springfield, Veneta, and Creswell, should enjoy mostly sunny skies into Saturday, making it favorable for travel and outdoor events. Drivers are advised, however, to remain aware of visibility changes where smoke pockets are present.

By Sunday, clouds build with a slight chance of showers after 11 a.m. and a high near 78. Rain becomes more likely Sunday night into Monday, signaling a seasonal shift toward cooler, wetter conditions early next week.
