Erie, PA – The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Southern Erie County, where 3 to 5 inches of snow and wind gusts up to 35 mph are expected Sunday evening through early Monday morning.
Snow is forecast to begin around 6 p.m. Sunday, becoming heaviest late at night with snowfall rates up to 1 inch per hour. The advisory remains in effect until 7 a.m. Monday.
Forecasters warn that roads will become snow-covered and slippery, especially on rural routes and higher terrain near Edinboro, Corry, and Union City. The Monday morning commute could be impacted by reduced visibility and slick conditions.
