Orchard Park, NY – Football fans heading to Highmark Stadium for the Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots game on Sunday, October 5, at 8:20 p.m. should prepare for major traffic changes and strict parking rules, according to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff John C. Garcia urged attendees to review stadium maps and plan ahead for road closures, parking restrictions, and gate entry procedures. Gates will open at 6:20 p.m., and fans are advised to arrive early to avoid delays.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Abbott Road in front of Highmark Stadium will close to both directions of traffic beginning at 3:20 p.m. Sunday and remain closed until after the game. Route 20A (Big Tree Road) will also shift to one-way, two-lane traffic away from the stadium around 10:50 p.m., directing eastbound vehicles to Route 219 and westbound vehicles toward Southwestern Boulevard.

All stadium lots will open at 4:20 p.m. Drivers are warned not to park along road shoulders for safety reasons. Due to construction, all lots west of Abbott Road are closed, though additional parking is available at Erie Community College. The Bus and Limo lot is located on the north side of the stadium along Southwestern Boulevard.

Sheriff Garcia also reminded fans that all stadium parking lots require an advanced-purchase parking pass, except for Lot 2-ADA and Lot 6-ADA. Intoxicated or unruly guests will not be allowed into the stadium.

Officials further warned that due to high demand, fans relying on rideshare services should expect long waits after the game.
